QEMRF Emergency Medicine Research Workshop – Insider trading to grant application success
This workshop was run in conjunction with the Queensland Faculty of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine at the 2010 Autumn Symposium held at Southbank in Brisbane on the 21st of May.

Some tips for Grant preparation

1. View these
PowerPoint Slides which provide Research Resourse links and information.
2. Have you asked an important question that is relevant to Emergency Medicine?
3. If you would like help with methodology either the Research Manager can help or we can provide free access to a Senior Biostatistician or Health Economist by referral.
4. Do you have someone on your team with a good publication track record?
5. Have you done a thorough literature review and referenced recent meta- analyses, systematic reviews and the Cochrane Library if applicable?
6. Have you checked the world Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform Search Portal for similar research?

7. Have you checked that the lay summary is 300 words or less and have you tested it out on a lay person?
