
Mr Wayne Patterson
Executive OfficerWayne Patterson is the current Executive Officer of Queensland Emergency Research Foundation. He is an experienced CEO, Company Director and Chairman with a substantial track record leading national and global companies. In addition to his role at QEMRF Wayne works with a number of mid tier companies through his own consulting practice. Before joining QEMRF Wayne was Managing Director of Multitrode, a global technology company exporting innovative energy saving solutions for the water and wastewater industry to over 15 countries.
Prior to Multitrode Wayne was CEO of National Transport Insurance (NTI) an internationally recognized leader in specialist insurance. Wayne is immediate past chairman of the Australian Institute of Management. He is chairman of numerous advisory boards, a director of McCarthy Homes and Multitrode as well as the founder of Safety Concepts, an online occupational health and safety community. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor Degree in Business and Associate Diploma in Accounting.

Ms Monique Belousoff
Operations Manager & Company SecretaryMonique has over 20 years of experience in the marketing, professional services and not for profit area and is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute with Certified Practising Marketer status (FAMI CPM) and a Certificated Member of the Chartered Secretaries of Australia (CSA). She oversees the financial processes and general every day running of the Foundation liaising with the accountant and auditor as well as the preparation of Board and annual general meeting documents. She is also the Company Secretary for the Foundation. In addition, Monique looks after the newsletter, marketing collateral and media releases/articles for the Foundation. She also liaises with external suppliers for the Foundation including IT and communications support.

Dr Carla Baldwin
Research ManagerCarla has obtained a BSc (Hons) in Genetics and a PhD in Quantitative Pathology from the Centre for Cancer Research & Cell Biology at Queens University of Belfast, UK. She worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow for four years in 2D and 3D quantitative imaging in prostate cancer research at Queen’s University and continued her Post Doctoral Research, managing a diverse research team for two years at the National Centre for Adult Stem Cell Research at Griffith University. She has successfully owned and managed a structural landscaping business with a focus on Brisbane’s Native Environment and has worked in Business Support for a large public utility. As a commercialisation officer at IMBcom, her role was to manage the development of innovative research and advancing the outputs to successful commercialisation. She was also seconded to the project management of a highly commercial, multimillion dollar biofuels research pilot plant.

Mr Greg Jensen
Director of FundraisingGreg has extensive experience in the health and hospital sector, with executive roles at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research and the Children’s Health Foundation Queensland. He also brings to QEMRF a wealth of sales and marketing experience from managing accounts at blue chip organisations including Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, Stiefel Laboratories and Randstad Recruitment. Greg is looking forward to highlighting the important cause of emergency medicine research.

Ms Noelle Drummond
AccountantNoelle is a qualified accountant with over 30 years of experience, as well as being a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and a registered BAS Agent. She contracts part-time to QEMRF and also part-time for several other clients. Noelle looks after our Financial and Accounting functions and provides the Foundation with regular updates on our financial position and obligations. She also liaises with our external auditors and ensures our compliance with the Australian Taxation Office, Superannuation requirements, and other agencies as required.
