The Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation is primarily funded by the Queensland Government through Queensland Health. The number of research grants awarded on merit is dependent on funding and applications. There are over one million attendances to Queensland Emergency Departments every year. The Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation funds research focussed on improving the emergency care of all Queenslanders.

Emergency Medicine is a broad and diverse specialty that impacts on all of us at some stage in our lives, from minor injuries to major disasters.
