There are strict eligibility requirements for researchers applying for QEMRF funding.  Please refer to the Instructions and Guidelines for further detail.  In brief, researchers can apply for funding as:
Principal Investigators – All Principal Investigators must be salaried specialists in Emergency Medicine working in an Emergency Department and employed by Queensland Health or Mater Health Services and providing public patient care for the duration of the funding and must conduct research aimed at advancing emergency medicine
Co-investigators - Applications may also include co-investigators who are key personnel who have contributed in any way to the development or conduct of the research.  Co-investigators may be staff specialists, trainees, senior medical officers, clinical nurses, relevant allied health personnel or other professionals such as mathematicians, epidemiologists, statisticians, lawyers, scientists, health economists etc.
The eligibility status of funded researchers will be reviewed from time-to-time.  The award may be terminated if a researcher or supervisor is deemed not to fit the eligibility criteria.
