Research

The Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation offers a range of grants with the aim of delivering better patient outcomes in public hospitals and to develop research infrastructure within hospitals.

Funding Schemes in Brief

  1. Emergency Medicine Trainee Grants (EMT) – up to $20,000.
  2. Emergency Medicine Staff Specialist Research Grants (EMSS) – up to $50,000.
  3. Project Grants (PROJ) – up to $100,000 per year for three years.
  4. Program Grants (PROG) – up to $250,000 per year for three years.
  5. Research Fellowship Scheme (FELL) – up to $150,000 per year salary costs.
  6. Capacity Building Grants (CAPB) – up to $70,000 per year for 3 years matched funding (written evidence of matched funding must be provided in application).
  7. Leverage Grant Funding – Eligible Applicants who are making submissions for funding to other funding bodies, that meet the objectives of the foundation, may apply for leverage funding of up to $50,000 per annum for the term of the grant if it is awarded.
